Regular CDJR services are the best way to keep your vehicle in great condition. As time passes, parts will become damaged or worn, and they need replacement. In addition, services enable us to check your car’s systems to ensure there are no potential problems. As your CDJR dealer, we’d like to tell you more about some of the services we provide for you.

3 CDJR Services Offered by Your CDJR Dealer

Battery Replacement

The battery is one of the most important components in your engine, but it’s also one of the shortest-lived. On average, a battery has a working life of three to five years before it needs to be replaced. Its life can be further reduced by extreme hot or cold weather or by other issues, like a worn alternator.

The battery’s short natural life is due to the way it stores electricity. It uses a combination of copper plates, sulfuric acid, and an electrolyte solution to store electricity as chemical energy. As time passes, the sulfuric acid gradually breaks down. This reduces the battery’s ability to store electricity. If your battery is weak or failing, we can quickly replace it for you while you wait.

Air Filter Replacement

The engine air filter is housed in a special box that’s positioned just behind the radiator grille. Its purpose is to filter out dust and dirt from air that enters the engine. Good airflow is vital for your engine, as combustion requires 14x more air than fuel. The filer will slowly become blocked as it accumulates dirt, and this restricts the amount of air in your engine.

The lack of air makes it more difficult for the spark plugs to ignite correctly, and this can lead to misfires or stalling. The fuel-rich environment will damage the spark plugs and ignition coils. In the long term, the pistons and cylinders will also be damaged. We can easily prevent all these issues by replacing the air filter.

Tire Alignment

When your vehicle is new, its tire alignment is perfect. This can change as time passes due to driving conditions and other issues. Correct alignment is determined by the tire’s camber and toe. The camber is the angle of a tire seen from the front, and the toe is the tire angle seen from above.

Depending on your CDJR model, the camber and toe of your tires can point inward or outward. If these alignments are incorrect, tire wear increases, you’ll use more fuel, and the axles, struts, and brakes will suffer additional wear. Our technicians can correct your tire alignment very quickly.
