Capability and Feature Highlights of the 2020 Ram Chassis Cab 3500, 4500 & 5500
All configurations of the Chassis Cab come standard with Ram’s proven 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine, which doles out 410 horsepower, 429 lb-ft of torque and up to 21,540 lbs. max trailering. Features like cylinder deactivation and Power Take-Off help curb fuel waste. The HEMI® links to either a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission or an available six-speed Aisin automatic. Optional on Ram 4500 and 5500 models, the 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel is optimized for Best-in-Class towing capability. Ratings come in at 360 horsepower, 800 lb-ft of torque and up to 35,220 lbs. max trailering.
While rivaling chassis trucks take on more basic interiors compared to their bed-fitted variants, the Chassis Cab inherits design elements and features straight from the Ram Heavy Duty pickup line. As a result, it can be just as comfortable and even provide premium-like features in the more expensive trims. At its most extravagant, the cabin features an exclusive 12-inch vertical touchscreen, the 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, leather seating and real wood accents.
Driver-assistance tech is in no shortage with class-exclusive features like the 270° Surround View Camera, ParkSense park assist, Trailer Reverse Guidance and trailer tire pressure monitoring. New for 2020, the Ram Chassis Cab can now be optioned with Lane Keep Assist, adaptive steering or the Ram telematics vehicle tracking system.
